File by:
75 days after last furnishing (private projects)
Enforce by:
6 years after filing lien (or 60 days if owner demands)
Where found:
Ohio Rev. Code Ann. §§ 1311.01 et seq.
File an affidavit to obtain a mechanics lien with the County Recorder in the county where the property is located. Must reference the Notice of Commencement. Must include property description, amount due, and name of owner. Serve a copy on the owner and general contractor.
